Capital League

We have teams in every division of Capital League - and two in most divisions!

Injury clinic

We have a new physiotherapy partner this year - PhysioSport. They're in O'Connor, close to the ANU campus. In Season 2025, the injury clinic will be held on Monday afternoons. To book in your free 15 minute consultation, just call PhysioSport on (02) 6247 0912 prior to midday on Mondays.

If you need further appointments, they can be booked at a discounted rate: $120 for an initial consultation (down from $140) and $95 for subsequent consultations (down from $110).

Uniforms / kits

The basic compulsory equipment of a player includes:

  • A jersey: ANUWFC will supply players with a jersey for the season. If undergarments are worn, the colour of the sleeve must be the same main colour as the sleeve of the jersey or shirt.

  • Shorts: ANUWFC plays in royal blue shorts that can be purchased from the club or from a sports clothing store. If undershorts or tights are worn, they must be the same main colour of the shorts.

  • Socks: Royal blue socks can be purchased from the club or from a sports clothing store. If tape or similar material is applied externally it must be the same colour as that part of the stockings it is applied to.

  • Shin guards

  • Studded boots

You'll be provided your jersey by the club, but must supply the rest of your own kit.

Game days, fixtures, and results

All women's games are played on Sundays, with the season commencing on Sunday 6 April 2025. Some games will be at our home ground on the ANU campus, and others at opposition home grounds.

The season finishes on Sunday 18 August, with finals played the following weeks for those teams that make it.

Kick off times are the same each week, and will depend on your division. We will update this page as soon as we have confirmed division times.

Your coach will no doubt ask you to come early to warm up and talk tactics, and every coach has their own preferences when it comes to arrival times. Make sure you check arrival time, and allow for travel time!

Throughout the season, there are some non-game weekends. Games may also be postponed or cancelled due to wet weather, so keep an eye on the Capital Football website, and your team's group chat on game days.

Game information such as fixtures, results, and ladders can be found on the Dribl website. We recommend you also download the Dribl app for quick and easy access to your team's info!

Team communications

All teams will setup a group chat with players and coaches. Having a group chat is important to organise social activities, drinks after the game, and letting everyone know of last minute changes on training or game days for you or your team!

Injuries and insurance

Unfortunately injuries can happen. Please see the Player welfare page for information about what happens if you become injured.

Player welfare

If something in your team or around the club doesn't feel right, the first point of contact is always your coach. If you think your coach is not able to resolve the issue, is unwilling to do so, or you don't feel comfortable speaking to them about it, please contact our Player Welfare Officer, Charlotte, at training or via anuwfcplayerwelfare@gmail.com

All communication will be kept confidential and we will check with you before disclosing the information you provide to anyone else. See the Player welfare page for more information about welfare.

Our coaches

Our coaches are central to our community, creating a space where players feel valued and are encouraged to bring their best selves each week. The impact they make at the Club lasts well beyond each season, building memories and a legacy of positivity and growth.
