Ever needed help with taping before a game? Ever wanted advice during a match about a possible injury? A Sports Trainer can help!
Following a successful trial near the end of last season, this year we are continuing a Sports Trainer service at some matches (see schedule below, subject to change).
Sports Trainers are qualified through Sports Medicine Australia and can offer basic first aid, taping, some advice on possible injuries, and referrals to other services.
Our Sports Trainer Jasmine Law is one of our own club members. Jasmine is a physio student and a qualified Sports Trainer. We are incredibly grateful to Jasmine for volunteering her time in this way :)
How to access the Sports Trainer
If you are planning on visiting Jasmine for taping before a game, please try to message the ANUWFC Facebook account to let us know at least one day before. This helps Jasmine plan her time.
You can find Jasmine on the day by looking for a bright pink vest that says "ANUWFC Volunteer" on it. Please BYO tape.
For Divisions 1 & 4: unfortunately as your match is played at the same time as Jasmine's, you won't be able to access the Sports Trainer immediately before or during your games. We apologise for this, and in future will look into expanding to cover more venues at more times, keeping in mind that this is a volunteer service. You are of course welcome to arrive at your venue early or travel to the Sports Trainer's venue if you wish.
